Monthly Item List Manager
A native inventory tool for small kirana stores.
Problem
Local shopkeepers still tracked stock in notebooks — no history, no totals, no way to find last month's numbers.
Approach
- Modeled inventory as a hash-indexed record store keyed by SKU with O(1) lookups.
- Merge-sort based reports (by name, quantity, value) written directly to CSV.
- Simple TUI so it runs on the shopkeeper's decade-old Windows machine.
Outcomes
- Handles 5k+ items with instant search on modest hardware.
- Deployed at a family-run store; replaced a decade of paper ledgers.
